Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What’s in Our Cow's Diet?
Not all grass-fed milk has the same nutritional content or flavor profile. To insure that we produce the healthiest and most flavorful milk possible, we implement a very effective nutritional grass-feeding program for our cows that produces a truly superior milk.
Our program is effective because we focus on balancing the amino acid requirements of the cows. As a result, the milk produced reflects a healthier Omega-3 to Omega-6 ratio - which means a more nutritious and flavorful milk.
The average American consumes nearly twice as many Omega-3 to Omega-6 fatty acids, which is considerably out of balance. With our nutritional program, cows produce milk that is much closer to a desired 1:1 ratio level of Omega 3 to Omega 6.
Is Natural By Nature Milk Homogenized?
Yes, all of our milk is homogenized.
What is Homogenization?
To render (milk) uniform in consistency by emulsifying the fat content.
Is Natural By Nature Milk Pasteurized?
At Natural Dairy Products, we believe that milk, particularly organic milk, is meant to be fresh. We pasteurize our milk using the High-Temperature Short Time (HTST) process. During this process, our milk is heated to only 165 degrees F, the lowest temperature proven to safely kill harmful bacteria without sacrificing flavor, freshness and many of milk’s natural nutrients. Our milk is NOT ultra pasteurized.
What is Pasteurization?
The act or process of heating a beverage or other food, such as milk, to a specific temperature for a specific period of time in order to kill microorganisms that could cause disease, spoilage, or undesired fermentation.
Where Do Our Vitamins Come From?
The Vitamin D3 used as a raw material by International Food Products is produced via multi-step chemical synthesis from cholesterol. The Cholesterol is derived from sheep wool wax/grease (lanolin) that is obtained as a by-product of the global wool market. The Vitamin A Palmitate used as a raw material by International Food Products is produced synthetically via a reaction with Palmitic Acid and Vitamin A Acetate. The Palmitic Acid used in this reaction is derived from Palm Oil.
What Makes Our Products Organic?
